SCOTUS Justice Kennedy to retire
SCOTUS Justice Kennedy to retire

Kennedy, whom you may remember from previous hits such as:
Citizens United Wrote:"…independent expenditures do not lead to, or create the appearance of, quid pro quo corruption."
just announced his retirement.

Who knows, maybe democrats can invoke the McConnell Rule: "We have midterm elections coming up, the people should have a chance to vote on which Senators will make this decision."

But then again, that would be uncivil.

I need a drink. Or twenty.
“We can never undo what we have done. We can never go back in time. We write history with our decisions and our actions. But we also write history with our responses to those actions. We can leave the pain and the damage in our wake, unattended, or we can do the work of acknowledging and fixing, to whatever extent possible, the harm that we have caused.”

That only works if you've got the Senate under your control, sadly.
