Looking for a free media player for Android
Looking for a free media player for Android

Question
Normally, I use VLC Media Player on all of my devices... but as of yesterday afternoon it's crashing without an error message on my Android cellphone and tablet.

Any suggestions for a replacement? Something that doesn't transmit my usage patterns back to its supplier is essential -- that's private information as far as I'm concerned. Freeware is good.

Should anyone care, I ended up going with KMPlayer.

Good to lmow. I'd expect the original problem with VLC to have been quickly solved, though - one of the big benefits of the open source model is that a widely used package like thaat that picks up a regression immediately has a lot of eyes and mimds on it to find the problem and fix it, even if it only occurs in a relatively small niche of hardware and/or software combinations.
