Convention Schedule?
Convention Schedule?
#1
I had a thought today. What happened to the Convention schedule after the SOS-dan called the Emergency con? Do emergency cons reset the schedule, or are they outside the Convention schedule?
In the later case, when was/is the scheduled Con for 2012? When's the sheduled Con for 2013?

2012 should see Mayacon - The Con At The End of Time.
2013 should see Unluckycon.

Conventions are based off of the Worldcon pattern, so the "normal" Convention would be held in late summer/early fall, usually the first or last week of August.
So the pattern would be:
May 2012: SOS-Con, emergency convention
August 2012: ($whatever)con, the normal governance convention.
August 2013: ($whatever)con
etc..---

Which I've already suggested as "Worldcon Serenety Valley", only half in jest.
I see no reason for Fenspace to not rotate the Cons amongst the inhabitated areas in Fenspace, despite Worldcon's habit of almost always taking place in the USA. And we've had Cons on the Island, Venus, and Mars already, so it's Jupiter's turn... (Whatever venue is chosen in the Belt can wait until after the end of Great Justice to host a Con. )
Mind you, just the thought of "Starbase-2-Con" is a blast, so...

August 2014: Centauricon (also known as ContactCon), held at Starbase 2, Alpha Centauri. The main topic of discussion: news from Miranda regarding First Contact.
...dammit, I might have to write this one.---

Would "Worldcon" eventually mutate into "Systemcon", you think?

I thought that was going to be the first big story arc after Great Justice...
