So, the Halloween festivities begin in three days, starting next Tuesday Correction. Our Devs are awesome
and snuck this on us early. ZOMBIES.
So what's everyone primarily going after? There's several options, of course.
- First up, our brand new zombies. Badges for these likely will be pretty easy to come by:
Glimpsed the
Abyss
You've taken down 100 Zombie Minions, showing you have Glimpsed the Abyss.

Safety in
Numbers
You've taken out 33 Zombie Lieutenants, proving that there is Safety in Numbers

Evil's
Resident
You've defeated 25 Zombie Bosses, making your place of occupation a Home of the Dead!

Apocalypse
Survivor
You've helped take down a Zombie Elite, showing you are an Apocalypse Survivor!
- Trick or Treating for costumes and salvage also presents the usual fun, including stockpiling salvage for the next year.
Interesting notes from test include the fact that costumes and salvage can drop at the same time, as they're not part of the same "spawn". Also,
you can get tricked, spawning Halloween enemies. For reference, the numbers needed for various badges:
Hunter
You have defeated 20 of the nefarious Vampires who rose from their graves on Halloween.

Buster
You have defeated 20 ghosts, spirits who have not rested since their original death.

Shifter
You have defeated 15 werewolves, supernatural creatures created through the disease of lycanthropy.

Dead Head
You have defeated 50 zombies, the walking flesh of the recently dead.

Malleus
You have defeated 75 witches, sorcerous crones who use dark magicks.
Also, the two Croa GMs have special Halloween spawns which can spawn anywhere, and which are accompanied by the Unseelie Court, a unique mob.
Hallow Spirit
You have helped defeat a manifestation of Eochai, king of the Fir Bolg.

Iron Warrior
You have defeated the Halloween Jack in
Irons.

Ghost Touched
You have defeated 20 of the Unseelie
Court.
Of course, one should remember these don't count as the Croa spawns and thus
don't count towards Geas of the Kind Ones.
- On that note, however, the game is locked into nighttime once the event starts, making Ghost hunting in Croa much easier for the Haunted badge.
All in all, plenty of opportunities. Full dates are, of course, Oct 20th - Nov 2nd.

waste."
