Looking for...

...a good Sailor Moon/Harry Potter crossover. I think there was a thread on this a while back, but Search is summarily unhelpful and a quick perusal through the last few pages yielded nothing.
Any recomendations?*********

I was looking for one, too -- and no one has suggested any that I recall.
I've been forced to brainstorm my own and start writing bits and pieces of it here and there.
No, I don't know if/when it'll be finished.

I'm after a specific HP fic, called "Power of Three." In it, Harry has become a more typical rebellious teenager after OotP, and suprisingly enough so has Dudley, this newfound commonality bringing them together in dressing like hooligans and leaving the house instead of sticking around to be yelled at. Harry also notices he's getting grey hair, which is suprising but he plays it off to get some smokes at the corner store, then finds a handy tree in the park to climb and look over some (technically forbidden) combat spell books Mad Eye slipped him at the station, where he meets a squirrel he comes to call Cricket. Hermione shows up relaqtively shortly after that, and by ch9 it's a few days later and Ron is around too, and has revealed an amazing talent for chugging at the rowdy-teenage-party. Hermione and Tonks also seem to be in a game of oneupsmanship over who can get the most sugar from Harry, but their lack of direct action against each other suggests that the titular "Power of Three" is likely to mean "Power of Threesome."
The pages I saved off are ice-blue on medium-blue, with one or two large images (that I didn't save) in each one, but don't list an author or homepage. The best idea I can give on a time frame is that I probably saved it arond march or april this year - maybe June, but I think I was saving things in a different location by then. (I found this again while checking an SD card that's been sitting in the slot of my iPaq mostly unused since I got a CF card twice the capacity, which sits in the other slot. The CF card adapter draws less power form the USB bus, and so I can use it in the keyboard jack instead of unplugging the printer.)

Drogn, I believe the fic you are looking for is 'Harry Potter and the Strength of Three' at: www.fanfiction.net/s/2087626/1/
Pity it hasn't been updated in nine months.

Don't bother. I tried to read the one marked as finished, and it inhaled greatly. I could not make it past the first "chapter".

I've gotten as far as chapter 4 in this, and it looks quite promising...
Edit: I got to ch 11 before I really absolutely had to sleep last night. This is very good. A little unbelievable in ways -- the Ron-Hermione dynamic is just ignored as if it never had been, and Tonks' behavior seems to come out of left field, but it's easy to forget that and get caught up in the guts of the story.
And has anyone gone to Narishma's website? It's got a hell of a cool flash interface that includes a very nice full-figure image of Tonks, lightly animated.

That is, indeed, the one I was looking for. Thankee! While I'm at it, I'll also reccomend Morena Evensong's A Year With Q for HP crackhead corssover goodness. It includes a visit from Bugs and Daffy, The Duck-Who-Lived, though since it's Slytherin-centric (As if Q would go anywhere ELSE?) the Trio make only infrequent appearances, and usually come off as jerks.

Sailor Moon Fic
09-16-2005, 08:44 AM
Awhile ago I was reading the Sailor OrionAmerica fanfic series. I got most of the way through (up to the last arc) before becoming bored and switching away. However, through out it the lowkey racism of Crystal Tokyo was nibbling my mind, reminding me of something.
I think, quite sometime ago, I read a fic in which the author was inserted into Crystal Tokyo. However, he disagreed with the way it was being run (mind controlled happy drone citizens I believe) and joined an underground resistance movement to overthrough Serenity and her senshi. I think the author _may_ have been a youma as well... anyone know what I'm talking about? Or is my brain playing at silly buggers again?

I don't know the one you're mentioning specifically, but it reminds me to some extent of Sean Gaffney's Made of Stone.--

Nah, I remember that one quite well, although it's entirely possible that I'm taking pieces of that (and maybe a few other stories) running it through some late night pizza and coming out with false memories.

Mmm... very long, unfinished, told in large part in the form of journal entries, and the, er, central character associated with an emerald or some other green stone?
Sorry, can't remember the title.

The protagonist of that one was one of the Black Moon family, I think...--
