It's cool but I have to agree with the people commenting that it's kinda creepy. Then again I find piercings kinda creepy too (including earrings)
because I don't like the idea of people poking holes in my body.

Very interesting. Although, I must add the obligatory paranoia, and say having a wireless device implanted into your arm, with no way to turn it off or
otherwise prevent broadcast, you could have your location pinpointed at anytime, in any place. Oh, and for people with low blood-sugar (glucose) and low iron
content (Holds the oxygen in blood) this might pose a problem.

Actually, I think this would be *super* handy for diabetics. No need to take blood to find out your blood sugar level, you can just read it on a display on
your arm.

Very cool, and I recognize that this as much of an alpha product as the ocular implants for the blind. But I'm still worried about 2 things:

1) what happens when the motor/glucose engine breaks? I can't imagine that it's built of things that can circulate in your bloodstream

2) it's awfully big (thick) to be shoving under my skin (at least it looked that way from the picture).

But the idea of having actual realtime bioinformatics: ubercool!

I'd be less interested in networking this with the outside world and more interested with integrating it with my internal network (blood sugar, 02 levels,
red blood cell count, lactic acid buildup, etc).

Knowing how to get the most out of a workout (or when I need to rehydrate/eat something) is far more interesting than dialing a call on my arm.

I wonder if it would set off metal detectors or if exposure to strong magnetic forces would make it go kaput :S

overall its a wicked concept [Image: happy.gif] I'd love to sign up to test it out all said and done, I can imagine several generations of technology later would include a
subcutaneous semi projected holographic display powered by blood Tongue
