You all remember the Star Trek The Original Series episode "Assignment: Earth", right? With Gary Seven, a
Playboy playmate pretending to be a cat, and Terri Garr barely out of her teens? And could it have been any more
obviously a pilot for a spin-off?

Well, some devoted soul has "reconstructed" what the opening credits would have looked like had the series actually been picked up by NBC in 1968:

it feels like a serious version of Get Smart that lived with the Star Trek family growing up.. I like it.

There's a comic book mini-series using those characters. I recall seeing a couple issues earlier this year.
