  "What's next?"

Just like this subject says.
Are you going to follow up on your plan to go straight to DW5, as you said you would in the Kodocha thread or, because AMG *might* (and I rather doubt it) be still continuing, are you moving on to the Eva walk?

  Greetings
Posted by: wxnut - 11-22-2003, 09:28 AM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (1)

Greetings, folks!
I'm Zack Seaholm, a long time (ten years now) fanfic reader.
I got my start in reading anime fanfic when I stumbled upon an interesting story called Undocumented Features while I was trolling the Internet for anime information. I had just recently discovered anime after a long weekend of watching Project A-ko over and over and over.
I'm not really sure when I first read Drunkard's Walk. Reading all that fanfiction out there messes with your head after a while. (: What I do know is that after I read it, I bookmarked Bob's site and kept occasional tabs on it.
I've been lurking in the forums since Bob put it up. I only just registered because I had info for him and had something to say. I'm not a real 'chatty' person at first, but if I become accustomed to a place that can change.
So I'll be around, even if I don't post. If I have something I feel contributes to the forum, I will.
Until next time!

...that I added a dozen or so new subtitles last week to the collection rotated on the DW main page.
Just in case no one's noticed.

  Song of the Day, 11/21/03

Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I've got a feelin' that somethin' ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
and wonderin' how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
And I'm wonderin' what it is I should do
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face
'Cause I'm showin' up all over the place
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am stuck in the middle with you
Well you started off with nothin'
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawlin',
Slap you on the back and say
Please....please....
Tryin' to make some sense of it all,
But I can see there is no sense at all
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor,
I don't think that I can take any more
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am stuck in the middle with you
Well you started off with nothin'
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawlin',
Slap you on the back and say
Please....please....

Pair of new songs for Bob & Doug...
Posted by: Ed Becerra - 11-21-2003, 07:51 AM - Forum: The Game Everyone Loves To Play - Replies (7)

Just two songs that might have curious effects for Doug.
I'm still looking for the lyrics, but I already have mp3's of each one.
"I'm Falling" - The Comsat Angels
"Number One" - Chaz Jankel
Both songs are from the movie "Real Genius", and are pretty gripping. "Number One" being VERY powerful, which you might remember if you can recall the scene in the movie where it was used.

Picard always drank tea.
Kirk always drank coffee.
Any questions?

Announcement: No Teasers For Chapter 15
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 11-20-2003, 05:10 PM - Forum: Drunkard's Walk II: Robot's Rules of Order - Replies (10)

Just to let you all know well ahead of time: Because of the contents and structure of the final installment of DW2, there will almost certainly be a dearth of scenes innocuous enough to be used as teasers. If I do end up writing something suitable, I'll probably post it, but I don't think it's likely. Sorry...

  Robots for Everyone!

What do people think Doug's gift might do with the "Cubix: Robots for Everyone" theme tune?
Could be amusing in a BGC setting!
I suspect that it wouldn't be native to WW, and maybe Doug left before Cubix arrived in the media, anyway, but...

  Possible Gate Song?
Posted by: Berk - 11-20-2003, 07:23 AM - Forum: The Game Everyone Loves To Play - Replies (1)

A little song from the Effing Prince of Darkness himself..
Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come , But I ain't the same
Mama, I'm Coming Home
Times gone by seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm Coming Home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
You made me cry, you told me lies
But, I can't stand to say goodbye
Mama, I'm Coming Home
I could be right, I could be wrong
It hurts so bad, it's been so long
Mama, I'm Coming Home
Selfish love yeah we're both alone
The ride before the fall
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all
I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm Coming Home
I'm Coming Home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had the hypnotised
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
I've seen your face a thousand times
Everyday we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm Coming Home
I'm Coming Home

  Permission to come aboard, sir!
Posted by: ro - 11-20-2003, 03:55 AM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (7)

Hello!
After lurking in the shadows for the past year, I've finally decided to step into the light (it buuuurns!) and formally join this happy bunch of misfits and weirdos. Smile Now for the introduction. Drums please!
The name's Rolando F. Farrales Jr.; my friends call me Ro. I'm a 27-year-old Filipino-American living in scenic Fort Washington, MD, right outside Washington D.C. I'm a graduate of Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) and was a member of its Corps of Cadets.
It's safe to say that being here means that I share most of the same hobbies and interests with you fine fellows, so I'm not going to list them out. Why state the obvious? I'll just mention the one thing I'm into that hasn't been mentioned by anyone else around here, which is personal health and fitness. I aim to always be young at heart, so having a body that can keep up with me will help make that happen. Easier said than done (and trying to lose weight is a b*tch-and-a-half), but I persevere! "FIGHT-O! FIGHT-O! FIGHT-O!"
I found myself here the same way a lot of you did, by way of the EPU Forums, to satisfy my curiosity on what this "Drunkard's Walk" was all about. Next thing I know, I'm an instant DW fan. (Just add water and stir vigorously. Serves six. Refrigerate after opening.)
That's it for me. I shall now return to the shadows and patiently wait for Chapter 15 of DWII. Later, all!
-ro
