  Rushing Headlong to Final Deadline
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 01-21-2003, 03:55 AM - Forum: Bob's Game Writing - Replies (4)

Final draft for Shapeshifters is Friday 31 January. If I seem a bit scarce around here, that's why.
Just wanted to let folks know.

New Quote for your file, Bob.

Hey there. In going through your various quote files on God, I noticed that you are missing one of the classics, here repeated for your benefit.

Have just gotten the prereader "package" from Bob, and read through it all.
In regards to the Oh My Goddess stuff --
I don't know why, but I was suddenly struck with the thought that Keiichi, at some point in his life and trevails with the goddesses, reflects upon his life and his relationship with Belldandy. Having done so, I can easily see K1 uttering the line -
"I seem to be having a problem with my lifestyle."
To which Doug, overhearing, would cringe, then go on with his daily routine, thinking darkly of size mismatched starfleets and large hairy dogs...

  Cetegandan Toons
Posted by: zojojojo - 01-18-2003, 01:21 AM - Forum: Future Steps - Replies (8)

Having recently read the latest installment of the adventures of Miles, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Doug popped up in the middle of some kind of diplomatic incident involving the Cetegandans.... or Jackson's Hole for that matter... I can just imagine the drool _lakes_ formed at the prospect of getting some DNA that may allow superpowers...
I'd thought about suggesting Honor Harrington, too, but Doug would be next to useless in a space naval engaement...

I see you've decided to tinker with the "user descriptions".
Will you spill on what they all are, or do we have to try and figure it out for ourselves?

OK, Bob's gonna kick me off the board if I don't post *something*, so...
Hmm. In no particular order, I'm 36, a fan of DW & EPU, a performer and sometimes merchant at various ren faires around the Midwest, a fan of Spider Robinson and Robert A. Heinlein, and in no particular order.

Just to let you know: Starting February 1st, I'm going to be deleting the board membership of anyone who hasn't posted anything in three months.
I've discovered we've got a bit of deadwood in the member list -- including a few people who joined in the first couple days the board existed and have never posted, ever. Just to keep it easy to administer the board, I'll be deleting inactive members from the member base.
Just a fair warning, in case you happen to be one of the inactive.

This user appears to have drifted in solely to drop a spam advertisement in "The Game". Although it's unlikely that they'll be coming back, I'm banning him/her/it to prevent any future problems.
Anyone with a good reason why I shouldn't do so is invited to let me know, so I can reverse the decision.
