RE: Video Madness XI - classicdrogn - 05-17-2025 It's a stash of dozens (as in "more than six" as they specifically mention 72 rolls still sealed) of undeveloped photos taken in Seattle in the 60s, very well timed and composed, that were found in an abandoned storage unit recently. The new owner is a photography and history fan, so they're trying to raise money to get them all developed (a lot of Kodachrome, and that wasn't a cheap process even before it was discontinued and brought back in scaled back form with the near-death of film cameras in the modern era,) and find out who took them, with the only real hint so far being a faint reflection pf the photographer on a window in one shot, with the conclusion being "small and lightly built, possibly a woman." RE: Video Madness XI - Bob Schroeck - 05-17-2025 Not Seattle, San Francisco. But yeah. RE: Video Madness XI - robkelk - 05-23-2025 Why have I never heard of Karolina Protsenko before today? Even if she doesn't know a song, she knows enough music theory to be able to improvise something that sounds right. Four videos where she joins in on a street performance by DØVYDAS: She knows "Kashmir"... ... and "Stairway to Heaven" ... ... but she doesn't know "Whole Lot of Love" ... ... or "Another Brick in the Wall" RE: Video Madness XI - Bob Schroeck - 05-23-2025 Oh, yeah, I stumbled across her a couple-few years ago. She's very strongly influenced by Lindsey Stirling, and the two met and played together on The Kelly Clarkson Show some three years or so ago. EDIT: The duet in the second video there is more of her ability to improvise, as she didn't know she was going to be on the same show as Stirling until they brought her out. |
