Alicia laid ontop of Seiji, enjoying the after glow when an intrusive thoughts wormed its way in her head. "We.... We moved to fast didn't we?" She says softly as she felt guilty. "I pushed you into this...."

The cat boy reached up and stroked her cheek. "I don't think so, I mean, we are healthy teens, there is no set date on dating to sex... What brings this up?"

She rolled off him and satin the edge of the bed, holding her head in her hands. "My dead beat mums DNA, she is a succubus, a sex demon.... So am I boning you cuz I love you.... Or because my DNA is telling me to?"

Seiji sits up next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "I don't think it is demon DNA, Succubus don't tend to be choosy, they sleep around... And you have not done that. Nor have you eaten my soul, just left me sore and drained."

She leans into him, resting her head against his chest. "I'm sorry, I just..... I doubt myself at times, how much is me and how much is my mum's.... I'm not exactly a normal person...."

Seiji strokes her hair, kissing her brow. "Neither am I, my dad is a cursed martial artist from Japan, my mom a space cat girl princess.... We are an odd couple."

She sighs. "Sorry for killing the post sex buzz."

He just smiles. "It's okay Al-chan, we are teens, we figure this shit out as we go.... But we will be fine as long as we remember protection."

Alicia chuckled slightly. "Yeah, not sure how mum would react to be being up the duff, specially with aunt Tish and uncle Seraph working on a kid..... Thank you Seiji." She cups his chin and kisses him tenderly, before laying back down and crawling under the blankets.

Seiji was about to join her when there was a knock at the door, lightning fast the cat boy grabbed and doned his boxers as the door slid open and Lief looked in, dragging her teddy, the young elf had obviously been crying. "Can I sleep with you big little sis? I had nightmare and momma's out doing stuff."

Seiji looked to Alicia who shrugged. "You can come in, sure. Just be warned, my bed is cramped with kitty here."

Lief wiped her nose and toddler over, climbing into the bed. "Why you naked sis?"

Alicia felt the proverbial sweat drop form. "Cuz.... Er..."

Seiji came to her rescue. "We where snuggling and it got hot."

Lief looks at them both. "Ah, adult stuff."

The two looked shocked as the young elf curls up with her sister, wedging in her teddy.

Seiji looks down at them, before kissing Alicia's brow. "I'll let her have this moment, ill crash on the couch... Love you."

The tifling mouthed it back and stroked her technically older sisters head... Her life was strange..... But she wouldn't change it for the world.

Rain hammered down as thunder rolled, Seraph gently opening the door to Gir's room carrying two cups of hot chocolate, Gir her self huddled under a weighted blanket, shivering as the thunder boomed.

Sitting next to her, he handed over one mug and gave her a one armed hug. "You know... I have to ask, what is it about fire works and thunder that does this too you? Makes you all jittery and scared."

She gives him a mournful look, taking a sip of her drink. "Trauma dad... I talked to my psych about it... But I guess I should explain it to you... If you promise to keep it a secret? Neph already teases me about my fear of explosions and thunder."

He nods. "You have my word, not a word to your sisters.... Maybe your mother, cuz she has ways of making me talk."

She nods and holds her mug. "What do you know about the Olympiad Guard?"

"Next to nothing, I met one in Dark Astoria, he seemed okay if a bit whipped.... But he worked for Dominatrix, so go figure."

Gir takes a deep breath. "The Olympiad Guard started as a project by Praetor Berry to clone Emperor Cole, but that was shut down and reimagined, using tech stolen from Crey Corp, we where made with a fraction of the Emperor's DNA, mixed in with DNA stolen from primal and Praetorian heroes."

She takes another sip before continuing. "So... To see if we where up to standard, we where put through all sorts of trials.... Most of them fatal. For every Guard that passed, there where ten burried in an unmarked grave.... There are two trials that stick with me no matter what, both trials to see if we inherited the Emperor's invincibility."

She closes her eyes, her face screwing up. "Both flying trials, one we had to fly through flack fire, to test out manuvrability and resistance..... If I close my eyes, I can still see my brother and sisters falling from the sky, their bodies chewed up by flack rounds... The other was heavy weather training, a bunch of power devision guys with storm control would summon up a storm and we had to fly through it.... I can almost feel the lightning strikes, the raw power running through my veins as the bolt earthed itself.... Again my siblings that didn't measure up falling smoking from the sky."

Seraph tightened his hug on her. "Jesus Gir, anyone would be fucked up from that... I had no idea...."

She smiles sadly. "No one did, we had to be the best, sworn to secrecy about our training...." Tears roll down from her green eyes as she buries her head in his shoulder. "And I... I wasn't the best, I was close.... Good enough for PR, but not good enough for the war effort." She whispers.

Seraph kissed the top of her head. "Well, in a way you where lucky, because you weren't the best, you where able to escape to Paragon, find family, get help, improve."

Thunder rattled the window as she tensed up, squeezing her eyes shut. "But... It's still there, when I close my eyes...."

Seraph puts his drink on her bedside table so he can hug her with both arms. "How about I stay with you till the storm is over? You can have a good cry if needed."

She nods slowly. "Thank you daddy." She says in a tiny voice.

The Seraph's surrounded a glass tank, red glass covered it and inside was a small fetous, floating calmly.

Neph was the first to speak. "It's.... Not what I expected..." She admits.

Gir leans in. "Looks like a fleshy jelly bean...."

Neph sighed. "Of course you think of food fatso."

Gir snapped. "I'm not fat, I am thick!"

As the two where about to fight, Tish stepped up, grabbed their ears and twisted.

Neph winced as Gir tapped her foot. "I am invincible, why does this hurt? Why does this hurt?" She whines.

Tish smirked and let go. "I am a mother, that power trumps all others, no arguing in front of your sibling." 

Caroline looks at it. "Can.... Can I touch the glass?"

Tish looks over to doctor Floyd who nods.

Caroline gingerly touches the capsule and smiles. "Hey in there... I'm your big sister Caroline, it's nice to meet you." She says softly.

Tish looked to Seraph and elbows him lightly. "What do you think dad?"

Seraph smiles and places a box next to the capsule, in it a care bear with rain clouds on its belly, Tish quirked an eyebrow. "But early to give them a teddy."

Seraph coughed. "When I was born, my grandmother got me a care bear, Grumpy bear.... Thus teddy came all the way from Australia from their grandparents.... Sort of a tradition, Neph got one too."

Tish wrapped her arm around Seraph's waist. "Wait.... Is that what that faded stuff toy in the cupboard back home is?"

Seraph blushed. "39 years later, I still, own my Grumpy bear."

She stands on her tip toes and kisses his cheek. "I think it is sweet, even if that bear has probably been hugged more than me." She teases lightly, before looking back at the forming baby. "We are really doing it huh, I'm going to have a baby.... Be a real mom instead of a step mom."

Seraph smiles. "Worth all the trouble?"

She shrugs. "I won't be doing it again any time soon mister dixe cup."

He chuckled. "Never living that down."

"Till your dying days."

Seraph was sitting in the kitchen with Noelle and Gir, talking on the phone to his apprentice, feeling tired. "You did what again?.... Okay, did you check what they where? 5th column? Then that's okay, Nazis don't count as real people.... Yes I know it is traumatic, but you just keep doing it.... Yes, I will see you tomorrow for lessons, later Diana."

Noelle sipped her coffee. "What was that about?" She asked.

Seraph sighed, Noelle was an interesting one, another Praetorian refuge, she had oddly slid into the Seraph family like another aunt, useful when the baby is born... Decantered... What ever. "It was Diana, she killed a man.... Again." He says, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes.

Noelle blinked. "Again?" She asked as Gir looked shocked.

Seraph nods. "Her storm powers are pretty strong, she can send a guy flying thirty feet in the air in a mini tornado or blast a wind gust that sends them flying... She "accidentally" threw a fifth column member onto a cast iron fence, spikes right through him, bleed out pretty quick."

Noelle sips her coffee. "Is she okay?"

Seraph nods. "She will get used to it, we all do."

Gir finally found her voice. "But killing is wrong!"

Seraph blinked. "Gir.... You are aware heroes have a licence to kill"

His daughter looks at her hands if seeing them for the first time. "I... I can not hold back?" She whispers.

Noelle turns to her. "Wait, you where the government's PR trophy girl in Praetoria... And you never killed once?"

Gir shakes her head. "I... I always captured alive to send to the BAF for correction."

Seraph looked at her. "What is the BAF?"

Noelle shuddered. "The Behaviour Adjustment Facility, Praetor Tillmans personal prison to use Psionics, Tech and drugs to." She held up fingers in air quotes. ""Fix" troubled souls that didn't fit the ideal."

Gir looks down at her lap. "So I might as well if killed them...."

Seraph gets up and walks around the table, putting a hand on Gir's shoulder. "It's okay, you didn't know any better.... But about holding back, I kinda prefer you to hold back, at least on humans, you might suffer trauma hitting someone with your full strength."

Noelle perks up. "Oh I know, you could try going all out on one of the giant monsters that pop up around town, they are very much not humans."

Gir nods and looks at her hands. "I'ma try that.... I might go to Boomtown, there is lots of council robots to test on."

Seraph returns to his seat. "Just be careful, okay?

Gir gets up and leaves, Seraph resting his head against the table.

Noelle looks at him. "You okay?"

"I am staring down forty and have a kid on the way.... I think I am getting to old for this." He says.

Noelle laughs. "Isn't Positron almost sixty? You still have some life in your bones."

He just grunts and sips his coffee.
