yuku slowdown/other wonkyness
yuku slowdown/other wonkyness
#1
anyone else having issues with page timeouts or other wonkyness?

it started late last night for me and has yet to resolve itself.

Given that their 'site temporarily down' message last night made mention of vague dns propagation issues I'm not sure if this is something local that is just effecting me, or if other people are seeing it too.

Thought it was just me having DNS issues.

Epsilon and I also noticed wonkyness...

If my reading of the messages is correct, I believe Yuku changed ISPs sometime today. (That would explain the DNS propagation messages, at least.)

Yuku simply wouldn't work for me between 6 and 8 PM EDT. Even now, avatars and some other graphics are missing.

Dtio, along with mass time outs, wonky menus and in one case the page loading like a really bard word doc almost

Well I'd a day of the 'We're working on stuff' page, but I'm now copping this other stuff too. Double posts even.

and just as a status update, things seem to be working fine now.

Which would lend even more weight to someone screwing up (or not putting enough planning into) switching isp/dns providers.

the avatars/icons thing seems to be sporadic, and transitory.

(as I type this my Icon is missing, but it was fine before)

So my bet is that one/some of the servers in their CDN have yet to make the transition.

But hey, the pages now load as fast as they should. And I'm not getting timeouts any more. So I don't feel all that pissed off.

The "Closed Topic" padlock icon and the "Add Poll" button icon have been missing every time I've logged on since yuku came back. (Mind you, the forum appears to be looking for them on ezboard.com ...)

When I started reading a little while ago, they were gone, some time in the last couple minutes they came back for me.

The Boards have been rather oppressively slow today. I dunno what's up, but it's limited to yuku and quite annoying.

I've only managed to be on twice today -- once this morning and now -- and I must have missed this incident, as it's not affecting me at the moment.

I was getting a spate of internal server errors earlier (on Chrome, if it matters); these appear to have cleared up sometime within the past two hours or so.  Everything's peachy now, looks like.
