Actually, he already is a bit of an a..hole -- but mainly as a combat persona. (Only one reader that I know of has noticed that and written to me about it, btw -- that "Looney Toons" is a rather obnoxious mask that Doug dons in battle, intentionally irritating and taunting.)
Anyway, the song probably won't just make him believe that about himself, it would probably make it true to some extent.
So now I;m curious. I'm going to have to see if I can find it on KaZaA tonight...

Doug grows abut 2 meters tall, every in the vicinity get a sudden urge to grovel and he can smite all who annoy him with lightningbolts. Sounds about right.
