The one with the cat forgot to include some iteration of "curled up alone..." "... with a cat" though, which is the part that makes it worth it.

This looks XKCD-like, in which case there's probably some actual project cited if the original could be found. I mean, it's not like that's in any way implausible, with the way less-glamorous, does-one-thing-well utility open source projects work.

It isn't xkcd-like, it's actual xkcd. Which means we have to acknowledge the source, as per the re-use license terms: "you don't need my permission to post these pictures on your website (and hotlinking with <img> is fine); just include a link back to this page."
