RIP Arthur Frommer, author of Europe on 5 Dollars a Day – the first "travel on a budget" guidebook.
Let's ignore the fact that inflation brought that up to 95 dollars a day; that wasn't his fault. Go straight to the second-order effect he had on the world: If it wasn't for Frommer's book and others that copied its basic premise, Douglas Adams would never have wished for a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

Morgan Lofting (Actress/Voice Actress)
passed away Nov 27 at the age of 84 Among other characters, she was the voice of The Baroness in the old GI Joe cartoons, as well as Aunt May and Black Cat in the early 80s Spider-man cartoon.
