The new Seraph's
RE: The new Seraph's
Kings Row.

Caroline squared on the building corner, rain hammering down, this was her city... Her watch.... Oh gods this was so boring! How the fuck did Batman do this?

She shivers slightly, it wasn't a cold rain, but she was soaking when she heard someone approach. "What do you want?" She said in her gruffest voice.

Gir stepped up, in full costume and chuckles. "Dad sent me to look for you, it is a horrid night for patrol."

Caroline grumped. "Crime doesn't sleep."

Gir smirked. "But crime also does not want to catch a cold.... Come on, let's go get Up up and away burgers."

Caroline would refuse, but her gut made an audible growl. "Fine." She muttered embarrassed.

Up up and away burgers.

The two stepped in, dripping water everywhere. "Sorry." Gir said. "Wrought night."

The cashier just sighed. "Jerry, mop." He said as another teen came out and started cleaning up after the heroes as Gir and Caroline approached the counter, Gir pulling off her helmet. "I'll pay."

Caroline gasped. "Your secret identity!"

Gir looks over her shoulder. "It's okay Car- er, Knight Saber, I have a public ID, like dad and Neph, any way." She turns back to the clerk. "Um, two up burger meals, one large with Dr Pepper as the drinks?"

The clerk muttered out the payment and went to work the grill as Gir swiped her card, waiting for their food. Eventually they got it, taking their tray to a booth and sitting down.

Gir smiled and took a fry, munching happily. "You know, we haven't really just sat and talked, the two of us, wanna?"

Caroline sipped her soda. "Talk about what?"

"Well, if we keep quite, we can talk about our lives, I hear you have an admirer."

Caroline blushed. "I don't know what you see talking about."

"Well Alica told me a certain head of track and field joined your self defence classes, a Jessica Holt?"

"What? How she see that? She to busy making goo goo eyes at Seiji!"

Gir waves a hand. "Hush hush... Want to talk about her?"

Caroline burried her head in her hands. "Jessica is indeed the head of track and field and a goth and amazing and cute and she would want nothing to do with a comic nerd like me."

Gir bit her burger. "So she joined your extra curricular class out of the blue for no reason?"

Caroline chewed her lip. "Maybe?"

Gir laughed. "And Neph says I'm bad at social cues."

RE: The new Seraph's
Been a while, brain has been meh for ideas, but here we go.

King's Row
Seraph's House

Seraph sat at his table, tonight was a study session night, both Caroline and Alicia had asked over someone to help with home work... But even Seraph's dull social senses could pick up a little more was going on.

Caroline had invited over some girl named Jessica... Who looked nothing like Seraph expected, he was told she was head of track and field, but he did not expect the pale completion, face full of piercings and a mop of black hair that hung over her eyes.

Alicia on the other hand had invited a cat boy named Seiji, who looked like a typical cat boy, down to the strange hair colour cat people tend to have.

Sera had asked him to watch over them, she was running late due to a staff meeting and in her own words. "I do not trust teens to study, roaming hands and all that." But so far, besides the pair huddling up, he had seen no sign of hanky and/or panky.

Caroline swore and laid her head down on her books. "I can't do it! I don't know how to write my working out, I see maths, my brain gives me answers."

Jessica pats her back. "Come on red, just do what I show you, Kay?"

Caroline snorted. "Why do I even need to show my working out if the answer is correct?"

Jessica sighed. "To make sure you didn't cheat, I know it is hard, but let's try?"

Seraph turned to look at Seiji and Alicia, the two hunched together as they muttered, Alicia's pen dancing across the paper, the demoness was lapping up what the cat boy said, if Seraph had any problem, it was the fact the girl was all but sitting on Seiji's lap as she worked.

Seraph chuckles and turns away, getting w cup of coffee as he listened to the teens chatter, it was nice they had a flourishing civilian life, they can't be heroes 24/7... Wasn't healthy in his mind.

Turning back, he sighed as Alicia was now fully on Seiji's lap, blushing hard as he rested his head on her shoulder, talking softly to her.

Seraph coughed and the two seperated, both blushing hard, he looked at the other side of the table, to notice the chairs where empty. "Where did they go?" He asks.

Alicia coughed. "To see Caroline's pets?"

Shaking his headed to Caroline's room, looking in the open door..... To see Caroline lecturing Jessica about her iguana Goji.

Which was a relief, he wasn't sure if he could handle walking in on his daughter making out... He also made a mental note to tell Sera about Alicia and Seiji, she might want to talk to her daughter about relationships.

Another long stint without writing, been to busy with the RP and AUs on my Tumblr.
But here is a short that I feel needs to be written.

King's Row
Seraph's House.

Sera knocked on Alicia's door, the tiffling looking up from her switch. "Moshi Moshi." The teen says with a grin.

Sera steps in and takes a breath. "Alicia... I want to talk to you about that cat boy."

Alicia moves from laying on her belly into a sitting position. "Seiji? Why? What's wrong?"

"Look, I don't want to come off as racist... But back in Preatoria, cat people had a reputation... A bad one... Okay it was mainly Bobcat, but they where all tarred and feathered with the same brush."

Alicia looks confused as her mother continues. "He... He hasn't tried to get you to do anything? Has he?"

Alicia reeled back like she had been punched. "What? No! He's a good boy, I sat on his lap and he didn't even get hard! He is the only kid at school that looks me in the eyes instead of at these!" She cups herself and hefts her bust. "If anything I'm the one probing for more."

Sera was taken a back, her daughter was the one leading here. "Well... I didn't need to hear about him not getting hard.... But can I ask why?"

Alicia runs a hand through her hair. "Maybe it's my teenage hormones... Or DNA from dead beat mum.... But he makes me feel safe, respected... He treats me more than my looks... He treats me as if I'm normal."

Sera steps forward and rests a hand on Alicia's shoulder. "That's... That's all I need to hear... Just... If you get active-"

"Muuuuuuuuum."

"Just saying, if you do, use protection, I'm not ready to be a grandmother, okay?"

Alicia blushes. "I will.... Now get out, I got gaming to do, gonna get me a shiny Duskull,"

Sera laughs. "I have no idea what that means, but thanks for talking to me."

Laying in bed, Neph sighs and lightly elbows Katie. "Is that normal?" She asks softly.

The seer puts down her book and looks over. "That? No, that unneves me honestly." She points to Neph's lap, where Spike the bull dog was laying on his back, legs in the air letting out a honking wheeze as he sleeps.

Neph looked at her dog and chuckled. "I was referring to that." She points to the foot of the bed, where Briar is curled into a fetal position with a blanket over herself, sleeping peacefully.

Katie taps her chin. "Well, not really, I have seen stranger amongst my girls, refusing to sleep laying down, floating and huddling together for warmth, they take some explaining to get used to the idea they can use beds."

Neph raises an eyebrow, but waves a hand. "Yeah, but why my our bed?"

The seer smiles and taps the cyborgs nose. "Weather you want to admit it or not, she has imprinted on you, she sees you as like a mother figure and there for safe."

Neph moans and drags her fingers down her face. "I'm 18, to young to be a mum... And Tish would kill me if I made her a grand mother."

Katie shrugs. "A Primal saying I have found I like, Shit Happens."

Neph lightly punches her girlfriends arm. "You are not helping."

She laughs. "Cuz I am a mother to like... Twenty odd seeres, some older than me.... Not that any of us really know our age... Hell, I think I'm in my mid twenties? Being part of the seer network prematurely ages you, making it harder to figure out."

Neph hugs her. "Sorry for snapping then."

"S'kay, you can make up with snuggles."

"Just as long as your hands stay outside my PJs."

"Spoil sport."

Caroline was walking down the hall when she heated some muffled swearing, curiously, she followed it to Alicia's room, perking in the door where Alicia was trying to stuff herself into a binder. "Stupid fucking flesh bags! Get in!" The Tiffling swore as she struggled.

Stepping in, Caroline chuckled. "You know, you are ment yo test the size before you buy." She said as Alicia spun around, face flushed.

Quickly stepping past her cousin, Alicia slammed the door shut. "It's not what it looks like." She said hurriedly.

Caroline crosses her arms. "No, it's cool, your trans right."

Alicia waved her arms. "What? No! I just want something to keep my tits under control."

"So you bought a binder?"

"A guy in my class, he swears by his binder... I just thought if I wore one, it help."

Caroline smirks. "You know most buy a sports bra."

Alicia sighed. "You know how much a double D sports bra cost? And... It be embarrassing to ask mum."

Caroline shrugs. "I don't see the problem, you are blessed with genes that gave you honk donkongals.... Wish I was that big."

Alicia sighed. "No you don't, everyone but Seiji looks at me like a slut, call me names behind my back, refuse to look me in the eyes, I hate them." She huffs.

Caroline steps up and gives her cousin a hug. "Well, maybe next time, actually try before you buy? ... We can try one of Neph's sport bras, she is like a D I think."

Alicia nodded. "Just keep this secret from mum, please?"

"My lips are sealed."

Seraph's House.

Seraph was laying on the bed, reading a book when the door was kicked in a d Tish stomped in, visibly steaming as she yanked her jacket off and threw it across the room.

"Hard day?" He asked softly, placing a book mark and putting the book to one side.

"Hard day? Hard day!" She snarled, flames running along her arms as she threw them up in the air. "I am used to baby sitting, playing brood mother to younger heroes, but today? Fuck!"

He slowly sat up, reaching a hand towards her and pulling back as another wave of flame rolled off her. "That bad?" He asked.

Tish pulled her hands down her face. "Goooooods, fucking idiots, running off, getting them selves koed... Called me old woman! Me? I'm in the prime of my fucking thirties, stupid pig headed idiots!"

He swallowed. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He offered.

Tish looked him over, a impish smile tugging her lips as she walked up to him, fingers digging into the cloth of his pants as they started to smoulder. "Strip."

He shifts under her gaze. "I... What?"

Tish growls, his pants part burning, part tearing as she pulls them off. "Do, not, make, me, repeat, myself." She said coldly.

"Yes ma'am." Seraph managed weakly before she pounced on him.

Later

Seraph panted as Tish rolled of him, both slick with sweat, whether from the sex or the intense heat Tish put out, he wasn't sure... But holy hell that was something, reminded him of their honeymoon.

Tish exhaled a plume of smoke and smiled. "Fuck I need that.... You okay there Seraph?" She turned to face him, propping herself on one elbow.

Seraph nodded slowly. "Some minor burns, but nothing new with you.... Fell less stressed?"

She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Much, I'm gonna grab a drink, you want anything?"

"Tea please." He says and slowly sits up, sore but in a good way.

She laughed and got up, pulling on a bath robe. "How you can drink that British crap is beyond me." She says, swaying out of the room and humming.

Seraph meanwhile checked to see if Tish had done any fire damage, the down side of sex with her, her powers tended to manifest. Looking at his bed side table, he picks up his slightly scorched book, looks like they got off lightly this time.

I will admit, I am mixing CoH lore with shit I ripped from Arcane Season two for this.
Enjoy.

Boomtown.
Neph tapped her head set. "Vanguard HQ, this is Nephilim Blade, another dead end." She says over the com, the tinny reply coming in her ear.

"Some one has been collecting and stockpiling Preatorian clockwork besides us agent Blade, we have tracked them down to the Boomtown area, we have called in reinforcements to aid you."

Neph snorted as she bent at the knee, cybernetics legs putting before she bounded over the street, landing with a crack of pavement, she didn't need help, this was Preat clocks, she was breathing them into scrap when she was just a lowbie, looking around she brought up her mini map and looked it over, still some abandoned buildings to check out before it got dark, she could hit them up easily.

Reaching her next search location, she looked at a battered Wearhouse, looked like it had been hit by a hammer, the building leaning to one side as she walks up, finding the padlock on the door melted to slag. "Come in HQ, think I found something, a busted door that looks to high tech for the locals."

"Proceed with caution." The voice crackled back as Neph pushed the door open, looking into the gloom, only illuminated by shafts of light from the sky light, Neph cracks her knuckles, energy flickering into life around them as she steps in.

Walking in, she squinted into the gloom, her eyes adjusting to the dark as she saw figures piled up like fire wood, clock works. "HQ, I found the place... HQ?" She tapped her coms, only getting a squeal of feedback.

"No no, we can't have you talking to medelsom outsiders, Neph Seraph." A voice echoed from the dark, accented, but familiar, hauntingly so.

Neph slowly turns around, looking for the source of the voice. "Who's there?" She called out.

"Oh my dear Neph, we are not strangers you and I, our paths crossed before." Metal foot steps echoed as a figure stepped into the light, it was a clockwork, but not like any she had seen before, it's body more elegant, more streamlined, a make shift cloak hangs from its back, a metal plate fastened over its face, a violette glow coming through the eye holes.

Neph squinted. "Who the fuck are you tin man?"

The clockwork laughed. "Tin man, yes.... I am the tin man, lacking a heart... I have lacked a heart for a long time Neph, but you might know me as a King."

Neph blinked. "The...the clock work king? But you are in the Zig."

He chuckled. "Ah my primal counterpart languishing in prison, for he still has some of his mortal form, I have transcended the need for flesh, I am purely of the mind."

Rolling her shoulders, Neph glares. "And this is the part where you tell me your evil plan?"

The Clockwork king stops. "My plan? Continue what you stopped in Preatoria my dear, my glorious evoluation."

"Your evolution? You ripped people's minds from their bodies and shoved them into clockwork, how is that evolution?"

Woodkids To ash and blood

He clapped his hands, clockwork around the warehouse starting to stir, all eyes glowing violet as the started towards Neph. "To be free of death, of hunger, of aging, of sickness, I will create a new race, and my princess will be the pinnacle of them, my perfect creation... And you will not stop me this time."

Neph growled and leaped for him, glowing fist swinging as a clockwork throws itself in the way, shattering it's torso and more ran up, mechanical bodies twitching like puppets on strings, she was quickly surrounded, her fists slamming out in empowered hammer blows, but more and more ran up, swarming her, grabbing her and punning her to the ground.

She snarled and struggled as the King walked up, his hand glowing with psychic energy. "Maybe you just need to see things from my point of view." He says as he leans in, energy starting to probe her mind as she gritted her teeth. "Soon you will awaken to your eternal firm Neph, do not resist."

There was a shatter of glass as a red and gold blur slammed into the floor, scattering clock work before bounding over and ripping clock work off Neph with an impressive display of strength.

"Gir?" Neph blinked, looking up at her sister in full costume.

"Hey sis, HQ sent me in the second your radio went down, lucky you." Gir said, Neph could tell she was smiling under that helm. "What's the situation?"

The Clockwork king staggered back, the glow of his eyes flaring. "One of Cole's puppets, I'm shocked there are any of you left after the war.... But your kind had one weakness." He holds out a hand as a wave of psychic energy slammed into Gir, staggering her. "For all your might, your mind is weak."

Neph pounced, at him, knocking him to the floor as struggling with him. "Get the fuck out of my sister's head!" She shouted.

The King clucked his fingers and more clockwork poured in, hundreds of them, metal hands grasping as he tried to buck Neph off himself.

Gir recovers, looking at the oncoming hoard. "Wanted to try this." She said softly, the eye holes of her helm glowing before twin laser beams lash out, cutting through the mechanical bodies like a hot knife through butter.

The king struggles under Neph, before going limp. "Destroy this hold out, I have many more hidden around your city, you can not stop my quest, I will free, perfect Penelope Yin." He hisses before the light leaves his eyes, the surrounding clockwork dropping like puppets with their strings cut. "This is but the beginning." His voice echoed in their mind.

Neph slowly got to her feet, Gir walking up and patting her back. "You okay sis?" Gir asked, pulling off her helm and shaking out her green/grey hair.

"No... I think I just gained a nemesis... And not the steam powered one." Neph admits, looking around. "You realise we have to make it so her can't use these things again?"

Gir sighed. "So we are busting them up?"

"Safer that way."

Seraph's house.

Gir sat at the table and looked on in awe, there was so much food!

Caroline elbowed her. "You okay sis, you are spacing out."

She blinked. "Just.... Wow, to some one that used to live on nutrient paste and protein blocks, this is a lot to take in."

Caroline smiles. "Never had a Thanksgiving?"

"Caroline, I'm like five months old."

"Oh yeah, keep forgetting you are baby sister." The Red head chuckles as Seraph starts carving the turkey. "This must be new to auntie Sera and her kids, Pretoria had Thanksgiving?"

Sera leans over from down the table. "We did.... But it was soy birds, not that giant thing." She points at the turkey. "Real meat was rich people food, because it had to be raised in such a way to prevent Hamidon infestation." She explains as Lief bounces in her seat.

Caroline pulled a face. "That sucks so much... Welcome to the free world and our gluttony!"

As Seraph dished out the food, Gir stared at the turkey leg on her plate, before leaning to whisper to Caroline. "How do i eat this thing?" She asked.

Caroline looks over. "Well, you are with family, so use your hands, but wait." She grabbed the gravy boat and poured some gravy on the leg.

Gir blinks. "You put brown slime on my food."

"Try it, it's good."

Looking around for approval, Seraph nods at her as she picks up the key and gingerly bites.... The flavour... Oh the flavour, it was juicy!

Gir looked at the rest of her family... This was nice. "And there are more holidays like this?"

Seraph nods. "Next big one is Christmas, another feast and presents."

Gir looks in awe.

Seraph's workshop.

Seraph was carefully pumping the forge, heat filling the room as he looks at his new apprentice. "Okay Aura, we got the heat up, now we just need to get the metal to the right temp."

The oni nodded, watching the flames carefully, she was an odd one Seraph had to admit, with her powers she could easily be a hero, but instead she wanted to learn metal working.... Not that he minded, the extra help was welcome.

He was about to speak again when he heated the door bell of his work shop jiggle. "Keep an eye on it, I'll bee back in a moment." He says, heading out of the sweltering forge into the much cooler shop front. "How can I be of assistance?" He asked the new comer.

Dressed in some sort of business wear, a red dress shirt with black vest, demon tail and a shock of white hair with little... Dog ears? The woman walks up to the counter with a large grin on her face. "Hi mister." She holds out a torn newspaper, a familiar add on it. "Room for rent?"

Seraph looked over the scrap of paper, yes that was his add. "Okay, first things first." He reaches under the counter and pulls out a ledger. "Name and occupation?"

She smiles again, a slightly vacant look on her face for a moment before she fishes in her pocket, pulling out a wallet and showing him a hero id.

He squints at it. "Okay, miss... Cerb Urus? Like the hell hound?"

She nods. "That's me."

To be honest, with a name like that, Seraph was expecting her to be Greek... More dog like and with at least two more heads.... But this was Paragon and stranger things where about. "Okay, I need a security deposit, rent is due every second Thursday, about $400 give or take electricity, water and gas bills."

She blinks. "That... Er... That sounds too cheep."

Seraph laughed. "I'm not in the landlording business to make a buck, cheep affordable housing here."

She reaches into her wallet and pulls out a wad of bills, Seraph noting some had blood stains on them.... She wouldn't be the first hero to pad their wallet with stolen funds and it was better than druggies, rapists and killers having it.

He takes the bills, putting them in a lock box and hands her a key. "Stairs are out side, second floor, room five."

She nods and heads out side, almost skipping. Shaking his head, seraph stepped back into the forge, Aura looking slightly sad as she held up a drooping bit of metal. "I over heated it sir." She said sadly.

"Ahh that's the magic of forging, we wait for it to cool a bit and hammer it back into shape." He explains.

Up stairs.

Cerb stepped into her apartment and sighed, a roof over her head at last, sniffing around, she looked it over... No furniture... But people left perfectly good stuff on the street all the time, so she could just grab that.... But more important, she had a base to search for her sisters from.... Where ever they are.

Meanwhile, in Mercy island

The Arachnos agent looked through the window at the woman strapped to the bench. "Care to explain to me again?" He asked.

The Widow next to him looked over her tablet. "As I said, she is extra dimensional, but her mind is the most fascinating part, it is like she is missing something, I believe she might be part of a hive mind like Praetorian seerers, that along with the Mu confirming her infernal nature, I feel we could sculpt her into a potential weapon."

The agent sighed. "Fuck it, we have thrown cash at stupider shit, she is all yours, but... If this blows up, it is all on your head, understand?"

She saluted. "Yes sir."

RE: The new Seraph's
Gir has yet to do this mission.... But my brain spat out this fic idea months ago, so here we go.

Praetoria?

Gir had agreed to help with a temporal tear, the invasion of Paragon from Praetoria, but during all the running around and time hopping, Positron had been kidnapped, so Gir and her team dove into the rift to right things.

As they pushed deeper into the cave, she could feel a heat rising as they fought through IDF troops, seerers and Military grade clockwork, the deeper they got, the harder the resistance.... But they could just abandon Positron, who knew what damage that could do to the time line?

Eventually they pushed into a regal chamber, magma pooled in troughs either side of the room, surrounded by troops, while a red carpet lead up to a throne, lounging on it and Olympiad Guard. Cracking her knuckles. "The Olympiad is mine." she said as the team scattered.

You say Run - My Hero Acidemia OST

Slowly he got to his feet and clapped. "The error... You know many thought you died after you turned your back on our Emperor, they shall smile as I bring you back to him in chains." There was a flicker and suddenly he was in front of Gir, his first punch deflected, but the second one cannoned into her gut. "What good do you think you can do here? I was trained by the best, tested against the devouring earth, I am your greater!" His fist whipped out and clipped her helm, armour denting slightly as she staggered back.

Shaking her self, she looked up, green eyes glaring through her eye helms eye slits. "You talk big, but I learned in Primal Earth, I learnt that we are invulnerable, not invincible, there is a limit to what we can take. I just have to push beyond that limit!" She lept back, their blows lashing out like miniature explosions, each blow enough to cripple a mortal man.

Back and forth they went, the ground crumbling beneath them as the Olympiad spat. "You are a deviant, a failed experiment of Berry's, you are nothing compared to me." He snarled.

Gir dug into her reserves. "I learnt, I grew, I over came my weaknesses to become something better!" She started pushing him back, each blow perfectly timed, perfectly aimed. "I am a protector of the weak and scared, I am a HERO!" She shouted delivering a bone braking blow to his jaw, his helm shattering as he staggered back, blood flowing from his broken mouth, hate in his eyes as he lept at her.

"And this..." She drew back her right fist. "Is over!" Lunging forward, she delivered a blow to his chest, her whole arm going numb from the impact as she felt his ribs break, his body rocketing back across the chamber, smashing the throne to shards as he impacted into the wall behind it, leaving a crater.

Panting, she looked around the room to see her team and the IDF had frozen, watching her fight. Taking a deep breath, she stood tall. "I am Centurion Rex and unless you want a beat down like that, surrender." She shouted.... And much to her shock, the IDF knelt down, hands behind their head.

"Oh I hope I bought enough Zig porters." She muttered as her team cheered her on.
