PHO Interludes and Worm Fanfic

It's detailed. It's the sort of story that asks the next question, then offers an answer that builds the world, then builds it, then builds it to a crescendo. Why people are heroes, why people are villains, why the whole villains and vigilantes thing can be such a game sometimes. The first few chapters aren't really representative, but then again, sort of are. It's hard to explain. There're some decisions later on that I don't necessariy agree with, but, well, It's hard to talk about without being spoilery.

On the one hand, Taylor's one of the few teenager's who behaves like an absolute fucking teenager. On the other, goddamn is she cold-blooded.

You manage to feel sympathetic for her and root for her, because it's her viewpoint you see.

Then you get the holy crap, thats why hints slithered throughout the narrative.

It's not so much dark, as just, it's less of a comic-book story. Decisions have real world-changing consequences at times rather than being vanished in the next retcon. Also, clever uses of 'weak' powers win against dumb uses of 'strong' powers. To the point that there really are no 'weak' powers, just someone who hasn't figured out the right way to get the best out of their shit yet.

Which is, incidentally, why Spacebattles loves it. It lets them wank out all the possible uses....
