Just got back from the showing here in Ottawa (amusingly they were running it off a hard drive and it started again from the beginning right after the next

First off, it is very, very pretty. They really spared no expense in the animation budget for this one, very well done.
The final battle sequence contained a little too much gratituious CGI for the sake of CGI but the way they changed how the drill worked and the SFX for all the
Eva fights was very well done. So far they stuck pretty close to the original plot with some noteable scenes being deleted. Going to the theatre was worth it
for the sound alone, however. The surround sound at the theatre was spectacular.
I'm looking forward to the next release (which will probably be a year away at least) and hope they made enough money to justify doing this again next
time, or maybe with different movies in the future.
