It could be worse. My old home town of Halifax had a day last week where it was just warm enough to rain, but not enough to melt the 30 cm thick ice covering the storm drains. And then the next day the temperature dropped again. I'll stick with the consistent freezing temperatures and relative lack of precipitation in Montreal thanks.
