Runrig's a folk rock group. I don't know what or how many CDs they've got out - I ripped my mp3 copy off a variety disc called "The Best of British Folk Rock".
True story, first thing I thought when I heard the song was, "Hey, that's a really cool guitar lick."
Gaelic/celtic/traditional/whatever isn't really my scene, but my parents are very fond of the stuff and I've had enough exposure to find a few faves.
The Regular Joes are a now-defunct Oklahoma City band. Sort of old fashioned blues/rock stuff. My fondness for their lyrics are no coincidence - my worldview is pretty typical of my father's side of the family. The frontman/main songwriter for the Regular Joes was/is Joseph Baxter - whose worldview is -also- typical of our family.
Blessed be.

(Uncle Joe's pretty cool in person, too.)

"V, did you do something foolish?"
"Yes, and it was glorious."
