NGE: Nobody Dies

@VladimirTherin: I'm quoting Post #168 if this thread (on this page), Posted: 04/21/10 08:52 AM. Like you said, it was put up on FF.net today (04/24/10). That's why I was asking.

I think there must have been a glitch or something when chapter 40 was uploaded, because I remember the bit with the "alternate reality fight" line being in chapter 40, but it isn't there now. It really threw me for a loop when I read chapter 41 and saw that section again.

@Cobalt

Whoops, I stand corrected. I was checking the time and glossing over the date.

I was more 'Hell Yeah!' at this point, but agreeing all the same.

@Matrix Dragon: OK, thanks. Just wondering.

@VladimirTherin: No problem.

...I could have sworn that "releasing system locks" was taken from somewhere else, but the only Google hit for it is from that chapter...

New chapter is up, and it's Tengen Toppa Go-Kun vs. ADAM in a no-holds barred fight across the multiverse....which involves utterly decimating a post-EoE Earth.

ADAM also demonstrates why you should never tell him "Is that the best you can do?"

Poor Japan.

Oh, and you just gotta love the way the author uses ADAM to make a reference to Planet of the Apes.

I think that was Rei who did the Apes ref.

Oh, and I also think it's very interesting that in the process Rei-Go rescued another set of Shinji and Asuka. I can just imagine the effect that they and their stories will have on both ND!NERV and Canon!NERV -- not to mention their counterparts.

*Goes back and looks* Actually, it could be said that it was Go-kun. Tough to tell with these things.
Also, I can only imagine what ND!Yui's reaction is gonna be when she gets back and learns the truth behind Canon!Yui. I have pretty good odds that it's not gonna be pretty and will end in injury on sombody's part.
Curious thought of the day: can something end in both excellence and injury?  Wink

You'll have to ask They Might Be Giants... it's their lyric, after all.

In Ch 43, Gendo Ikari says:  "I need some penguins."
And suddenly, I was very, very afraid....

I'm needing a scorecard. Or location headers, y'know those text snippets Tom Clancy and he's ilk like using to help the reader work out what's happening in a scene spread over multiple locations.

I'm seeing, at the very least, additional crossovers of Taking Sights (yes, the Gendo Peggy-Sue), and there's at least one scene with what looks like the Asuka from one of the Cthulhu crossovers. I'm guessing Sic Semper Morituri right now, but it might well be Children of an Elder God or Aeon Natum Evangelion.

The scene with the Asuka who survived to the heat-death of the universe? That's from Taking Sights too.

Ah, thanks. At least I'm not the only one that's having some trouble keeping track of everything.

Okay, now he's started using locale headers, so who gave him the pointer?
