Quote:The Professor: "Miss K! You've been screwing up a lot lately, haven't you?"
Kaolinite: "Er… yes?"
The Professor: /airily. "No matter! Experiment is built upon failure! We shall press on!"
Kaolinite: /phew.
The Professor: "What is the new subject?"
Kaolinite: "A pure-hearted girl who dreams of a perfect first kiss. She's a walking target for a Daimon on the make."
The Professor: "Excellent! …Hmm, a kiss, eh? I haven't done such a thing in years…"
Kaolinite: "Yes, I know."
The Professor: /BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Kaolinite: /heh heh heh.
Kaolinite: /sigh.
The Professor: "I dedicate this next Daimon to those foolish, carefree days! Let's try another silly one today."
Quote:Usagi: "This must be the biggest junkyard in Tokyo. How are we supposed to find it in all of that?"

A magical explosion goes off in the junkyard, and white-clad figures leap away from it across the stacks.

Mamoru: "Just a hunch…"
Usagi: "How did the competition wind up all the way out here? Someone musta screwed up!"
Haruka (from far away): "Did not!"
Quote:Usagi: "Since you kids can't stop fighting over it, none of you gets it! I'm turning this junkyard around and returning the soul crystal to the store, right now! Because I'm your Sailor and I said so, that's why!"

Quote:Usagi: "Do you remember our first kiss?"
Mamoru: "…"
Mamoru: "Which first kiss?"
Usagi: "Um… the first kiss in this life."
Mamoru: "…"
Mamoru: "Which first kiss in this life?"
Usagi: "Um… the first kiss in this life as Usagi and Mamoru."
Mamoru: "…"
Mamoru: "Which first—?"
Usagi: "GOD! Why is my life so complicated? At the ball! The fancy ball! We danced! I was drunk!"
Mamoru: "Oh, thank God! You do remember that time."

Quote:Sakura blinked, watching the bunshin and Ino leave, the blonde somewhat surprised at the blond's behavior.

"You," the pink-haired girl said slowly. "You can... You just sent Ino on a date with your jutsu?"

"Yeah," Naruto said, frowning slightly. "Why? Is that bad, or something?"

Sakura shook her head in surprise, explaining, "No, that seems perfectly appropriate to me." Then she looked away, muttering, "That is the world's best ten-foot pole..."

Quote:Ritsuko went to Asuka's room, or more accurately where she had Asuka brought after they got her out of the EVA. Inside the bathroom, she found Asuka staring at the mirror and examining herself. Though it appeared to be with clinical detachment, Ritsuko could have sworn she saw a slight pinkish tone come over her face.

"Rei?" she asked questioningly and watched as Asuka's head turned in her direction.

"Doctor Akagi," she replied. "I seem to have an unusual problem."

Ritsuko sighed… it was going to be a long day.

This little bit from Sleeping This The Girls:

Quote:Ami looked at her computer and then back up at me, then shook her head.
"Everyone
keep quiet and give him some space," she commented softly. Though
honestly, it felt like she was speaking at a borderline shout.
"Why?" Rei tuned it down to a whisper. "What happened?"
"He
just ingested a borderline overdose of methylphenidate." The
blue-haired senshi replied. "He's suffering from agitation symptoms.
Give him a minute or two to relax."
I leaned back against the bed, the throbbing in my head subsiding a little.
"So the crone mixed methylphenidate into it?" I asked. "Sounds familiar... What is it?"
"Oh," Ami chirped a little too loud. "Sorry. You might know it by its more common pharmaceutical name."
"And that is?" I asked in irritation.
Ami almost laughed but managed to keep it in.
"Ritalin." She stated.

http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?562 ... st13721258]Shadowjack's watching episode 95... and I had to trim some of the better lines from this so it wouldn't be a monster post...

Quote:Usagi: "It's funny, but when I was younger, school seemed to eat up huge chunks of my day. Now it just seems to fly by like it's not even there."
Naru: "I know the feeling. Sometimes I feel like I'm not even there."

Awkward Zone Achieved.

(IIRC, this is the last episode where Naru appears, too...)

Quote:Usagi: "I'd take your offer of help, but my, er, other friends are getting worked right now and I'm not sure, um…"
Naru: "…that a mere mortal could do anything but cheerlead?"
Usagi: "Zackly."
Naru: "To be honest, I've been enjoying the quiet. I haven't been abducted in weeks."

(...but it looks like she seems happy with that.)

Quote:Usagi: "Does this mean that the droid-monster's control buttons are on her chest?"
Ami: "Aren't yours?" /blushes. "Sorry, I said it without thinking!"
Usagi: "…That's between me and Mamoru."
Mina: "I think that's the idea!" Big Grin
Usagi: "LESS INNUENDO MORE TRANSFORMING."

Quote:Usagi: "I don't really want to stop the show, but I thought you might like to know, that we're gonna get real mad, unless you unhand that lad! So let me introduce to you, the one and only Sailors here—"
Rei: "Mars!"
Ami: "Mercury!"
Mina: "Venus!"
Mako: "Jupiter!"
Usagi: "—and Saiiiiiilor Moon! Just call us Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Vigilance Association!"

Kaolinite enters behind the team.

Kaolinite: "What would you think if I sang out of tune?"
Usagi: "Well, we'd stand up and walk out on y—waaaaaait a minute."

(Obviously, this is a quick transposition of Sailors with the ones in the universe where Doug trained the Senshi.)

Quote:Usagi: "…It's not my fault you haven't got upgrades lately!"
Rei: "¿Well, what else are we supposed to do? ¿Run in circles?"
Mako: "Maybe it is your fault, Moon. Have you tried a royal proclamation, granting us new powers?"
Usagi: "Sorry, I can't proclamate without a throne."
Mina: "There's pills for that."

"Well, that's part of it, but that's not what I meant."
"Is it about the fact that there's berserker shaped holes in most of the walls of your house?"
"Okay, that needs to be taken care of too, but-"
"Or is it the fact that you have no idea what you're doing."
"That's a little harsh isn't it? I mean, I just got thrown into this today and-"
"Wait, I've got it – it's a school night and you have a biology test in the morning that you forgot about until I mentioned it and you haven't studied for at all."
"No, well, yes…how did you even know that?"
Archer smirked knowingly, before shrugging. That guy was really starting to annoy Shirou.

Quote:I Put On My Robe and Wizard Hat by VelspertheCat
“Hello Master.” Archer greeted the magus like nothing had gone wrong at
all. “How are you? Fantastic.” He answered before she could even
respond. “Does Saber look as handsome as me? No.” He interrupted her as
she raised a finger to answer.

He walked over to her bed, which now looked wrinkle free and freshly laundered. “Look to the right.”

Rin instinctively did as instructed as her higher reasoning centers were
still off balance. Her reading desk, which had been positively
overflowing with books last night was now completely spotless. A quick
check of the bookcase showed that the books had been moved over. Yes,
they had been moved over and alphabetically sorted.

“Now back to me.” Archer was now holding an oyster. He opened it to
reveal the ruby pendant Rin had lost last night. It still glowed with
the great amount of prana stored within it. Thanks to her losing it last
night, she had wound up with the Heroic Spirit in front of her. “I’ve
got an oyster with that thing you always loved.”

Rin opened her mouth to speak, but Archer thrust the pendant into her
hands. In the split second she glanced down at it, a golden light blazed
in her room. She glanced back up and suddenly the white haired man was
clenching onto a bejeweled dagger that glowed with all the lights of a
rainbow.

“Look again, the oyster is now a Jeweled Sword!” The red coated man
smugly crossed his arms in front of him. “Anything is possible when your
man smells like steel and smoke, and not like a lady.”

“…what.” Rin gave Archer a dead man’s stare. The man merely grinned as
their surroundings suddenly shifted in a wave of heat. A vast wasteland
filled with countless swords, both priceless and mundane, stabbed deep
into the cracked brown earth. High above the sky, towering gears spun as
they ground together.

“We’re in a reality marble.” Archer concluded.

Heh. From Magical Guardian Ranma: Beta Edition chapter 2

Quote:"So, Ranma," Nabiki redirected her attention as Akane lead them
further into the lot amongst the gravel piles. "How many elements can
you support? Just the Western four, or our traditional five? Or should
that be the Chinese five, since you became a Guardian Beast there?"
Ranma
thought for a moment before responding. "Eight, I think. Shampoo,
Akane, and you have Earth, Fire, and Water already. The others are: Air,
Wood, Metal, Light, and Dark. I'm pretty sure that that's it."
"That sounds like either an amalgamation of the various traditional sets, or a standard videogame RPG set."
"Videogame RPG?"
"You know, Role Playing Game. Only as a videogame instead of with pen and paper."
"Not a clue, sorry."
"Final Fantasy? Breath of Fire? Dragon Quest?"
"Nabiki,
the only videogames I ever got to play were Pac-Man, Zaxxon, and
Galaxian," Ranma explained. "Although I had gotten rather good at
Martial Arts Pinball before Pop made me quit. He said that if I was
getting so lazy as to let some blind boy beat me in a tournament, I
could be doing other things to improve my hand-eye co-ordination. Too
bad, though; the kid was a really cool customer, a regular pinball
wizard! I'd have liked to challenge him again. Didn't seem to be all
there though..."
New insane martial arts has to be one of the more fun aspects of Ranma 1/2 fiction.

Quote:Akane and Nabiki had both set down their backpacks so that they could
try powering up for the first time in the lot when they heard a woman's
scream. Sparing Ranma a quick glance, the girls saw him nod, just
before the large blue kangaroo rat bounded off towards the source of the
scream at a considerable clip.
"Right," Nabiki stated seriously. "Let's do this!"
"BISHOJO MAGICAL FIRE HENSHIN!" Akane yelled, posing dramatically, triggering her transformation.
Nabiki, embarrassed at her sister's antics, pretended that she didn't know the other girl as she too transformed.

Okay. I'm not sure how the heck I missed that. It's merely one of the Who songs I like cuing up.
Got hooked on The Who after a Kyo Kara Maoh AMV to I'm A Boy, which sadly I neglected to download, one of two AMVs I greatly regret failing to save a copy of.
Which now makes me think I should look for Ranma/KKM crossovers...
