I found her on the floor below her cat bed, cold and dead when I got home from work yesterday. She was over 20 years old, and was a very good cat. Her passing
was painless, and not unexpected. She will be missed.

My condolences. My sister's cat is about 17 and I'm dreading the day that hellcat decides to pass on.

My thoughts go out to you. Losing a pet is hard, especially one that's been with you halfway to forever.Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes

Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home

Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head

Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead

Thank you all for your well wishes. It's strange being in a single-cat household. It has been several years (...since 2001, I do believe) since I have been
this low on Cat.

We'll be putting the Cat Level back up to two when we get back from fishing at the end of this month (4-5yrs old, spayed, local shelter adoption), but
nothing can truly replace Snert.

She wasn't even 'my' cat, and I will miss her.

Only one question...

How did she get her name?

Sorry to hear about your lose, Wire. It sucks to come home only to find that one of your best friends has passed on.

...

I'm going to name my first cat that Hobbes. Hopefully it will have a quirky personality worthy of the namesake.

Huh.... things you never knew you never knew. I usually associate that term with a particularly clueless type of chatroom troll myself.

I was inconsolable when Molly, my first ferret, died at the ripe old age of 6. I can only imagine how it feels to lose a companion of 20 years. My
second-deepest condolences* to you, sir.

*(which are quite impressively deep, and only not my deepest because I have to save something for the death of human family members)

Sorry for coming in late on this. But my condolences to you. It's never easy, nor should it be. Family is family, whether two-legged or four.
