Interesting turn of phrase: the article uses the words "pristine condition" but also mentions oral tradition that the ship was "crushed in ice." Pristinely crushed?
Yes, I understand that in archaeology etc. phrases like "practically undamaged" don't mean quite the same thing they do in everyday life, but I still find it amusing.
