Naruto does the back-in-time thing, physically, and discovers he can't bring himself to off Obito as a kid despite being the reason for basically all the crap that landed on him, like, ever. What if it took? I'm going to second this recommendation, with a qualifier - there are some definite grammar issues that some people may find distracting. However, the story does some things with the setting that I've never seen anyone else try, and follows through on them well. -Morgan.

There's still a dropped word or things a spellchecker would approve but make no sense here and there by the end, but it is better. Honestly the storytelling was good enough that I just sent my inner line editor out for donuts and cocoa, then when it was done switched to other fandoms for a few days because I couldn't stand the way(s) Sakura usually gets portrayed straight after seeing her as a well rounded, effective character who does more than simper and fawn,freeze and cry or screech and dish out abuse.

I would say the first chapter is worse than the rest, but I'm a couple chapters from the end and it hasn't quite gone away either. But it's interesting enough to be worth putting up with.
-Morgan. As far as "interesting Sakura" goes, I'd like to see more exploration of what can be done with perfect control. (Not something this one does.)

Harry Potter and the Freedom of Flight
Very different HP AU/Original Hard Sci-Fi. This is Harry Potter as it would have been if set in the future and magic was magi-tech, (Spaceships instead of Castles and Mind-magic-AI interfaces instead of Wands) Sounds crazy, but it works. Still recognisably HP, but completely different all at once - and extremely well written. Raphael
